Why is there no RR button on Yelp?

Chrome does not allow any extension to script Yelp’s pages, so Review Reply never adds a control there and reads nothing from them. Instead the panel shows the review box directly and you paste the review in.

What does Review Reply send for a pasted Yelp review?

It sends the review text you pasted, the rating and reviewer name you optionally typed, your reply settings, and the fixed platform label manual. It reads no page address on this path, so nothing about your Yelp session or the page you copied from is transmitted. The text is sent only when you ask for a draft.

Can I use this path for other review sites too?

Yes. The same paste-a-review path covers any other review site the extension does not support, not just Yelp. Paste the review, optionally add the rating and reviewer name, draft and edit, then copy the reply into that site’s own reply box by hand. It is labelled manual the same way.

How Review Reply works on Yelp

The extension reads only the review you select, drafts a reply you can edit, and never posts without your final click.

Because Yelp is not an approved host, Review Reply uses its paste-a-review path rather than a page button. On a page the extension does not support, the panel shows the review box directly: you paste the Yelp review text, optionally type the star rating and reviewer name, and ask for a draft in your chosen tone and language. The draft stays editable and Truth Check can flag unsupported claims, but this path drafts only — it shows Copy and Regenerate and no Post button, and it never posts on Yelp or reads a Yelp page address.

Paste the review

Copy the Yelp review text and paste it into the review box in the Review Reply panel. On a page the extension does not support, that box is shown directly.

Add optional context

Type the star rating and the reviewer name beside the review if you have them, so the draft can address the right rating and name.

Draft and Truth Check

Click Draft reply, edit the result, run Truth Check, and click Regenerate if you want a different wording. There is no Post button on this path.

Copy it across

Click Copy, then paste the reply into Yelp’s own reply box and submit it there yourself. The extension never fills or submits anything on Yelp.

Note: No button on Yelp: the extension adds no RR control on Yelp and reads nothing from Yelp pages. The reply leaves the extension through your clipboard, and only you post it.

This path drafts only and shows no Post button, so posting is entirely yours: click Copy in the panel, open the review on Yelp, paste the reply into Yelp’s own reply box and submit it there. Review Reply does not fill or submit anything on Yelp because it is not an approved host. Before you copy, Truth Check reviews the draft for unsupported concrete details, unverified promises, missed clear complaints and confident language mismatches; if findings remain, the extension asks for a second confirmation before it treats the draft as ready, and you can still edit or regenerate it.
